Whether you are taking on a full renovation and don’t know where to start, or need to refresh a room in your home, we are here to guide you in creating spaces you will love.
Our mission is to explore your needs and desires to bring pleasure, joy and great design to your home.
PHILOSOPHY
Having a wonderful home interior doesn’t need to cost a lot of money. We believe that beautiful and original interior design can be available to us all on a reasonable budget.
We want to encourage you to develop your own style and move away from ordinary home decor into a place that is totally unique to you.
Colour is important to us. It feeds our souls. Homes where everything is beige and gray can often lack personality. Colour, pattern and texture offers depth to our homes. With this in mind layering is key.
We have an eco-conscious approach with a passion for using what is already there and seeking out antiques and secondhand furniture from local resellers and flea markets. Our love for upcycling pieces breathes in new life, transforming them into individual statement pieces that boast enviable character and charm.

ABOUT
Nicola Mellen has worked on a range of creative and design roles for over 20 years and is delighted to now be bringing her skills, experience and passion of creating beautifully decorated homes to the local area.
As far back as she can remember Nicola has always been fascinated with the interior of a room. Spending hours in her bedroom rearranging furniture and photos on the wall - immersed in a world of creativity and joy.
This early love of interiors propelled her into the world of set design at university where she evolved as a designer who loved creating innovative environments that connected the audience to the performance.
From there she moved to South Africa where her career as an interior designer began for residential and commercial clients.
Her love of painting is where she finds her flow. She loves how textures and brushstrokes add to the atmosphere of a room or to the character of a furniture piece.
